I've been traveling all of my life. Before I could even talk, I remember being packed into the family truck, driving down the east coast and into the boundless plains of the south. The road trips dragged on endlessly! It felt as if the destination was getting further away as time ticked on, everyone has to use the bathroom every 5 miles, there never seems to be enough snacks, and God forbid you get stuck in the middle seat! I had quickly learned that the worst part of traveling is actually getting to the destination, but once we were there and the truck finally stopped, it was all worth it. We had arrived, and the adventure would begin.
I learned the most about traveling and the adventure it brings on my biggest, wildest international trip to date, my three week trip to Europe. That summer, two large groups of dozens of students, I had never known beforehand, and I had all packed up our carry-ons and duffle bags, and took to the skies for Europe. When we landed, we had touched down in Paris and the journey began. I have learned many things about people, this world, and how we are all connected despite our differences. Here's what I've gathered:
